The Mayor's Greeting

Csaba Tibor Koós

As the mayor of the town of Barcs and on behalf of the Municipality of Barcs, I respectfully welcome all those interested in our newly established industrial areas!

The strategic goal of the Integrated Urban Development Strategy of Barcs is the development of the economy in terms of job creation. To achieve this, external businesses and investments are needed, for which it is essential to have a competitive business infrastructure. The current eastern and western industrial areas have privately owned, already utilized properties, which justified the further expansion of the industrial areas. Within the framework of the Territorial and Settlement Development Operational Programme, with the implementation of project TOP-1.1.1-16-SO1-2017-00005, "Infrastructural development of greenfield industrial area in Barcs", a separate area of greenfield industrial site was established in the eastern outskirts of Barcs along the main road No. 6 towards the Budapest-Barcs border crossing and road No. 6623. The project included the construction of a water and rainwater drainage system, an access road, street lighting and fencing around the entire area. The development has created an additional 11.3154 ha of industrial area in Barcs.

As a result of the project, an area with investment potential was created in the town of Barcs, which is suitable for the settlement of businesses, meeting their needs and ensuring their development. Businesses moving to the developed industrial area do not only have the possibility to rent or purchase premises at a discounted rate but can also benefit from the additional economic and cooperation opportunities provided by the industrial area.

As the mayor of the town, I am convinced that the development of the industrial area will have a positive effect on the economic growth, the stable operation of existing and newly established businesses in the area, as well as the creation of new jobs and thus the secure livelihood of the town's residents.

Let's build the future of Barcs together!
